Our Staff

Dr Navin Naidoo

South African born and medically trained, Dr Naidoo is no stranger to adversity and challenge. After his initial training, he travelled and worked widely in GB before heading home with his new wife Sandra to set up a GP Surgery.

This surgery ran for 10 years and had a diverse patient base in the heart of Pretoria. Due to the political climate and the ever-present challenge of South African life, it was decided that the family would relocate to Australia.

Since coming to Gympie in 2008 Dr Naidoo has worked in both the Hospital setting and a GP surgery.

He is now branching out into an area where he feels there is still work to be done.

Sandra Naidoo

Brought up on a farm in the heart of rural GB, Sandra then trained as an RGN in the local Hospital. After qualifying, Theatre called and two years in a busy theatre suite gave invaluable experience before Sandra made the move to the Orthopaedics and Trauma Ward. Practicing in a high energy and challenging setting in a senior position for 10 years gave Sandra the skills and resilience for her next move, to South Africa.

Married to the Doctor brought its own challenges in a new Country, but together they built the surgery up from an empty shop to a thriving place with a large, diverse patient base. As the Practice Manager, Sandra moulded the Surgery into a place for education and support.

The move to Australia in 2008 changed everything, having three children in school and no family or friend support group meant that Sandra was best placed to become the strong base for the family. Now that the boys are all independent the time is right to start this new project.

Tahlia Price

Our wonderful receptionist.

Tahlia has always been drawn to caring for others, and takes pride in her ability to provide care and support to our patients. Growing up locally has provided Tahlia the opportunity for her to work in numerous areas of the community from retail, hospitality, school crossing guard to hairdressing. This has allowed her to build relationships with so many wonderful individuals in our beautiful town.

In 2019 Tahlia met Sandra and Navin’s son Alex, who she married in October 2021. The pair have settled down locally and plan to raise a family here.

In 2021 Tahlia’s mother and father in-law began talking about an exciting new project. Tahlia was quick to accept becoming a part of this journey to improve patient outcomes with her warm and caring personality.
